Windows System Administrator, DC & on prem VMware & Citrix
Overview
Own the Windows server estate supporting 100 physical and virtual servers in a Microsoft Active Directory environment for a federal program. You will provide tiered system administration and helpdesk support, manage on premises Exchange, Citrix XenDesktop VDI, VMware infrastructure, and backup and patch management. Collaborate with security and engineering teams to meet DISA STIG requirements and government guidelines. This role offers large-scale operations, on-site collaboration, and opportunities to influence DR planning and documentation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain Windows Server 2022/2019/2016 infrastructure across 100 servers in AD
- 2Design and administer Citrix XenDesktop VDI for 150 endpoints
- 3Manage on premise Exchange deployment for 150 users
- 4Oversee VMware based virtual infrastructure and hosts
- 5Run daily backups with Backup Exec and manage tape libraries
- 6Apply patches using WSUS and align with DISA STIG requirements
- 7Maintain system design documentation and disaster recovery plans
- 8Support third party tools like antivirus and Adobe Acrobat
- 9Collaborate on system builds migrations code deployments and patch management
- 10Create and update SOPs and DR documentation
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field plus 4 years of relevant experience or 7 years in lieu of degree
- 2Experience with Windows Server 2016-2022 administration
- 3Experience with VMware virtualization
- 4Experience with Citrix XenDesktop VDI
- 5Experience with Microsoft Exchange server administration
- 6Experience with backup solutions such as Backup Exec
- 7Experience patch management tools like WSUS
- 8Understanding of DISA STIG guidance
- 9Ability to obtain security clearance or Public Trust
- 10U.S. citizenship
