Windows Administrator, Active Directory & Messaging
Overview
Own and operate Windows infrastructure at scale in a major bank environment with hybrid on-site and remote collaboration. Lead configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of Windows servers, AD, and messaging systems to ensure reliability and security. Work with a cross-functional IT team in Midtown Manhattan on 2/3 days in the office.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead Windows server administration and patching across multiple domains.
- 2Design and implement Active Directory strategies, group policy, and user provisioning
- 3Manage messaging systems and related services to ensure uptime and security
- 4Collaborate with security teams to enforce access controls and encryption
- 5Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell and scripting for operational efficiency
- 6Troubleshoot complex incidents and provide timely root cause analysis
- 7Coordinate with network and storage teams for holistically managed infra
- 8Document configurations, runbooks, and changes for audits and compliance
- 9Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning of Windows environments
- 10Participate in on-call rotation and incident response when required
Requirements10
- 1Senior Windows Administrator with extensive experience in managing Windows servers, AD, and messaging systems
- 2Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- 3Solid knowledge of Active Directory design, GPOs, and user provisioning
- 4Experience with security controls, auditing, and compliance in enterprise Windows environments
- 5Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- 6Ability to work in a hybrid in-office and remote environment in Midtown Manhattan
- 7Authorized to work for any employer in the US without H1 visa sponsorship
- 8Sun- or weekend-on-call availability as part of an on-call rotation
- 9Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 10Prior experience in financial services or large enterprise environments is a plus
