Senior Windows Engineer, M365 & Exchange
Overview
Own the M365 and Exchange environment for a major NYC bank, serving 10,000+ users across hybrid infrastructure. You hold the roadmap for Exchange Online, Exchange On-Premises, and Microsoft Teams, ensuring uptime and security. You collaborate with the infrastructure team to migrate workloads and modernize collaboration tools. This role stands out for its hybrid schedule, 5 days onsite per two weeks, and a strong compensation package with bonus.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and deploy Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises solutions, including hybrid configuration and mail flow.
- 2Lead migration of on-premises mailboxes to Exchange Online with zero data loss and minimal downtime.
- 3Configure and manage Microsoft Teams policies, meeting rooms, and voice integration.
- 4Automate routine maintenance with PowerShell scripts to reduce manual effort by 30%.
- 5Drive incident response for email and Teams outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.
- 6Collaborate with security to enforce conditional access and DLP policies across M365.
- 7Monitor and tune Exchange performance, capacity, and health using Microsoft 365 Defender and System Center.
- 8Document architecture, runbooks, and change records; present quarterly metrics to leadership.
Requirements8
- 18+ years managing Windows Server and Active Directory in enterprise environments.
- 25+ years hands-on with Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online.
- 33+ years in Microsoft Teams administration, including voice and meetings.
- 4Expert-level PowerShell scripting for automation and bulk operations.
- 5Experience with Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure AD, and conditional access.
- 6Certifications: MCSE: Productivity or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- 7Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
- 8Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
