What You'll Do8
- 1Maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring uptime and performance across production systems.
- 2Administer Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP to support secure authentication and network services.
- 3Manage VMware clusters and virtual machines, including provisioning, patching, and capacity planning.
- 4Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and Bash scripts to reduce manual effort and errors.
- 5Support enterprise storage arrays (NetApp, EMC) and backup solutions to protect critical data.
- 6Monitor system health using Splunk and Nagios, responding to incidents and root-cause issues.
- 7Collaborate with security teams to enforce CIS benchmarks and harden server configurations.
- 8Document system changes and procedures for operational handover and knowledge sharing.
Requirements8
- 13+ years administering Windows Server and Linux (RHEL or Ubuntu) in production environments.
- 22+ years with VMware vSphere and virtualized server clusters.
- 3Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
- 4Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- 5Familiarity with storage technologies like NetApp and EMC.
- 6Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Nagios.
- 7Strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure, 24/7 environments.
- 8Relevant certification (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, or VMware VCP) is a plus.
