Overview
Design and improve the City`s enterprise private cloud infrastructure and Windows Server environment. Lead technical initiatives to ensure high availability, security, and resilience. Manage virtualization storage and disaster recovery solutions.
What You'll Do11
- 1Administer VMware vSphere virtualization platforms
- 2Manage Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory
- 3Implement enterprise storage and disaster recovery technologies
- 4Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell and IaC
- 5Lead server provisioning and lifecycle management
- 6Perform performance tuning and capacity planning
- 7Develop documentation and engineering best practices
- 8Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- 9Provide Tier III/IV escalation support
- 10Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- 11Evaluate emerging technologies and propose infrastructure roadmaps
Requirements11
- 1High school graduate or equivalent with 5 years related experience
- 2Bachelor degree with 3 years related experience
- 3Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere 8 and Windows Server
- 4Proficiency in Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy
- 5Extensive experience with enterprise storage platforms and SAN technologies
- 6Background in disaster recovery methodologies and replication technologies
- 7Experience with PowerShell automation and infrastructure-as-code principles
- 8Familiarity with clustering and high-availability environments
- 9Knowledge of backup and recovery platforms
- 10Understanding of CIS hardening and security baselines
- 11Compliance with ITIL or mature enterprise operational processes
