Senior Systems Engineer, Windows & Onsite Operations in Midtown NYC
Overview
Own and maintain Windows-based infrastructure and on-premises systems within a lean, high-performing IT Infrastructure team in Midtown Manhattan. This full-time role requires four days onsite and reports to senior technology leadership. The environment includes a full Microsoft stack (M365 E5, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot) plus AWS cloud infrastructure to support business operations. You will collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security for a leading publicly traded investment firm.
What You'll Do10
- 1Design, implement, and maintain Windows server and hybrid on-prem/云 infrastructure to support critical business applications
- 2Manage M365 E5, Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot configurations to ensure secure identity and device management
- 3Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, availability, and incident response within a 4 days onsite schedule
- 4Coordinate with security and network teams to enforce governance, patching, and backup strategies
- 5Own on-premises and AWS infrastructure components to deliver resilient, compliant IT services
- 6Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to improving operational efficiency and reliability
- 7Participate in on-call rotation and incident response exercises to minimize downtime
- 8Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans aligned with regulatory requirements
- 9Evaluate, test, and deploy new tools and technologies to enhance the Windows ecosystem
- 10Document configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for IT services
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2Proven experience in Windows Server administration and on-prem infrastructure
- 3Experience with M365 E5, Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot administration
- 4Familiarity with AWS cloud services and hybrid cloud architectures
- 5Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with an emphasis on reliability and security
- 6Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team work
- 7Ability to work onsite in Midtown Manhattan for the majority of the workweek

$210 - $250k per year
