Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Azure & AI
Overview
Own the design, deployment, and optimization of the Firm's cloud and on-premises infrastructure, focusing on Azure, AI systems, and automation. Join a team that delivers enterprise IT systems with an emphasis on cloud, automation, and artificial intelligence. Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture Manager to drive lifecycle management, backup/recovery, and security improvements. This role offers hands-on work with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible, plus a rotating on-call schedule for Tier 3 escalations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and migrate the Firm's cloud and on-premises IT systems, including Azure resources and AI agents.
- 2Build and configure Azure environments, Entra ID integrations, and MCP server connections.
- 3Partner with the Enterprise Architecture Manager to deliver solutions across the full lifecycle, from planning to optimization.
- 4Develop backup and disaster recovery plans, including regular tests with Azure Site Recovery and Purview.
- 5Collect and analyze system metrics to improve security and performance, using Grafana or similar tools.
- 6Resolve Tier 3 escalations and triage problems during on-call shifts, ensuring uptime for critical systems.
- 7Evaluate new technologies and implement automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- 8Document architecture and runbooks for cloud, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements10
- 18+ years in IT infrastructure with a focus on business-critical systems.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Cisco are preferred.
- 4Strong knowledge of virtualization, networking, and DNS.
- 5Proficiency in Python or PowerShell, with REST API and MCP experience.
- 6Experience designing and deploying AI agents and agentic workflows.
- 7Hands-on with Azure networking, Virtual Desktop, and Entra ID.
- 8Worked with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 9Automation skills with Terraform and Ansible.
- 10Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and certificate management.
