Warehouse Order Selector, Distribution Center
Overview
You will own order selection at a Gordon Food Service distribution center, moving up to 100 pounds across a 10-hour shift in a freezer environment. You'll work on a Sunday-Thursday schedule with 2nd shift hours, earning $20.29/hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. Our training team gets you up to speed with no prior experience, and you can earn two raises in your first year. What You'll Do8
- 1Select customer orders from warehouse shelves using a handheld scanner, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- 2Lift and stack cases weighing up to 100 pounds onto pallets, reaching required pick rates.
- 3Operate electric pallet jacks and other equipment to move product within the distribution center.
- 4Maintain a clean, safe work area by following OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols.
- 5Verify order labels, quantities, and product codes before staging for shipment.
- 6Work in cold or hot environments, including a freezer at sub-zero temperatures, for up to 10 hours.
- 7Meet daily productivity goals, earning higher pay for faster, more efficient performance.
- 8Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve order discrepancies and workflow issues.
Requirements6
- 118+ years of age (required).
- 2Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- 3Comfortable working in extreme cold or hot conditions, including freezer temperatures.
- 4Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, and complete paperwork).
- 5Pass a drug test (assessing drug usage) and background check.
- 6Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.
