Forklift Operator, Warehouse & Distribution
Overview
You'll operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move product through a multi-temperature distribution center, ensuring accurate inventory placement and replenishment for a broadline foodservice supplier. You'll work Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to finish, joining a team that supports independent restaurants and hotels. What You'll Do10
- 1Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport incoming freight from staging areas to designated storage slots on multi-level racks.
- 2Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items based on next day's work orders to maintain production flow.
- 3Conduct count checks of incoming freight, verify product integrity, and transport to freezer or appropriate storage zones.
- 4Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front and remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
- 5Manage overstock by dispersing items to available slots for temporary storage.
- 6Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack, and move them with forklift or pallet jack to proper storage areas.
- 7Perform safety checks on equipment, complete vehicle inspection checklists, and replace batteries as needed.
- 8Maintain a clean and safe work area, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
- 9Follow all safety and GMP standards, including proper personal protective equipment use.
- 10Secure equipment and complete all required paperwork at the end of each shift.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 26+ months of warehouse or distribution work experience.
- 3Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout a full shift.
- 4Capability to lift products weighing 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
- 5Willingness to work in multi-temperature environments including cooler, freezer, and dry storage.
- 6Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- 7Must work scheduled hours including required overtime.
