Warehouse Associate, Forklift Operations & Logistics
Overview
Own the movement of all materials inbound and outbound at a high-volume HVAC distribution warehouse. Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment to unload, stock, pick, and stage products with zero damage. Work under a supervisor with clear procedures, supporting both internal teams and delivery drivers. What You'll Do9
- 1Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transfer materials safely, preventing damage to products and trucks.
- 2Receive all incoming shipments, verify items against packing slips, and stock each item in its assigned location.
- 3Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and adjusting records in the warehouse management system.
- 4Pick and stage customer orders for will-call pickup, ensuring correct items and quantities at the designated area.
- 5Complete all paperwork and transaction entries accurately and on time, keeping records current.
- 6Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift inspections, reporting any equipment issues to the manager immediately.
- 7Follow all safety and housekeeping protocols, including wearing required PPE and maintaining a clean work area.
- 8Assist customers and customer service representatives with order questions or product location inquiries.
- 9Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure consistent warehouse operations.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of warehouse experience handling materials and inventory.
- 21+ years of industrial forklift operation strongly preferred.
- 3Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Prove It test and driving assessment.
- 4Eligibility to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire (training provided).
- 5High School diploma or GED.
- 6Basic computer skills for data entry, generating reports, and processing orders.
- 7Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs, or perform two-person lifts for heavier items.
- 8Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and standing or walking for extended periods.
- 9Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- 10Strong attention to detail and situational awareness in a busy warehouse environment.
