Warehouse Assistant Manager, Forklift & Operations
Overview
You will own floor operations with 5+ years of warehousing experience, driving pallet movement, label accuracy, and order staging. This role evolves from hands-on tasks to quality-checking and oversight of floor staff. You will work directly with the Director of Operations, growing into broader operational support. What You'll Do9
- 1Move and stage pallets to established standards for incoming, storage, and outgoing orders.
- 2Operate a forklift safely to transport pallets and materials across the warehouse.
- 3Cut and group shipping labels accurately, with sets of 3 labels per order.
- 4Assemble and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and grouping.
- 5Support receiving and inventory staging as needed.
- 6Quality-check and spot-check floor staff work, focusing on label cutting and order accuracy.
- 7Produce basic documentation and prioritize orders based on operational needs.
- 8Communicate floor priorities and standards to other staff members.
- 9Take on additional operational responsibilities as trust and performance grow.
Requirements8
- 1Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification promptly.
- 21+ years in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics role with demonstrated reliability.
- 3Ability to learn physical tasks quickly and follow standards accurately.
- 4Comfortable asking questions when uncertain, instead of guessing.
- 5Work independently once trained, with minimal supervision.
- 6Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repeated bending and moving.
- 7Stand for the majority of a shift in a warehouse environment.
- 8Reliable attendance and punctuality, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
