Forklift Operator, Warehouse & Distribution
Overview
You'll operate Stand-Up, High Reach, or Sit-Down Forklifts to manage pallet movement in a 46-foot-high warehouse. You'll handle put-away, replenishment, and unloading with RF Scan Guns. This role sits within a close-knit warehouse team supporting The Chefs' Warehouse mission. You'll own rotation and safety, ensuring product flows without disruption. What You'll Do8
- 1Operate Stand-Up, High Reach, or Sit-Down Forklift to put away pallets up to 46 feet high.
- 2Pick, sort, and replenish product from upper racks to front pick bins within the first 30 days.
- 3Unload trailers using Forklifts and powered riding pallet jacks.
- 4Move product manually from the receiving dock to proper storage locations.
- 5Monitor and enforce safe product handling procedures during movement.
- 6Replenish stock from upper storage to lower pick bins inside the cooler.
- 7Break down pallets on the receiving dock and maintain dock cleanliness.
- 8Clean and charge the Forklift at shift end, logging actions with RF Scan Guns.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 22+ years of Forklift operating experience.
- 3Team player who collaborates with all warehouse levels.
- 4Pass a Forklift operating exam during hiring process.
- 5Warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
- 6Ability to lift and manually move product up to 50 pounds.
- 7Basic math and reading skills for inventory tracking.
