Warehouse Selector, Night Shift Order Picking | US Foods
Overview
You will own order selection and pallet building in a high-volume distribution center, moving 1,000+ cases per shift with electric pallet jacks and order selecting software. You will join a night shift team of 30+ associates, reporting to shift leads and safety managers, in a climate-controlled warehouse ranging from -5°F to 100°F. What You'll Do7
- 1Select customer orders using voice-pick or RF scanner software, ensuring accuracy within 99.5% in the first 90 days.
- 2Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy, using stretch wrap and pallet jacks.
- 3Perform pre-shift equipment checks on electric pallet jacks and report any safety issues.
- 4Move products from racks to pallets, verifying correct item and damage-free condition.
- 5Deliver completed pallets to the correct dock door and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
- 6Collaborate with team members to clear aisles of debris and stack empty pallets in designated areas.
- 7Return pallet jacks to charging stations after each shift, ensuring equipment readiness.
Requirements7
- 16+ months of recent experience in high-endurance physical activity (e.g., lifting, sports, farming, construction) preferred.
- 21+ year experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
- 3Experience operating motorized pallet jacks or similar equipment preferred.
- 4Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-80+ lbs. repetitively and move 1,000+ cases per shift.
- 5Comfortable working in multi-temperature environments from -5°F to 100°F.
- 6Must be able to read and communicate in English for training, safety coaching, and label reading.
- 7Ability to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday-Thursday, with weekends and holidays as required.
