What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and guide customers in the showroom, presenting used car options that match their needs and budget
- 2Close sales using strong negotiation skills, ensuring a smooth and positive auto sales experience
- 3Navigate used car contracts confidently, collaborating with sales management, finance, and service departments to resolve customer questions
- 4Accompany customers on test drives and highlight vehicle features, performance, and value
- 5Purchase high-quality pre-owned vehicles from auctions and trade-ins to meet monthly inventory and sales goals
- 6Analyze market trends, pricing, and demand for used cars to make informed buying decisions
- 7Report reconditioning costs accurately for each auction purchase, feeding precise data into inventory systems
- 8Manage the arbitration process end-to-end, returning vehicles to auction when needed and resolving claims
- 9Coordinate vehicle transportation from auction to dealership, ensuring delivery within 3-7 days
- 10Sell inventory over 60 days old through targeted marketing and aggressive pricing strategies
Requirements10
- 12+ years of proven experience as a used car buyer or in a similar automotive role
- 21+ year of experience purchasing vehicles in the Pacific Northwest
- 3At least 1 year of experience as a sales associate, preferably in a dealership setting
- 4High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in business or automotive management preferred
- 5Valid, state-issued driver's license and acceptable driving record
- 6In-depth knowledge of used car features, dealership protocols, financing options, and sales trends
- 7Strong negotiation and communication skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- 8Ability to provide recent purchase examples demonstrating your buying acumen
- 9Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
- 10Passion for automobiles and a record of delivering exceptional customer service
