Technical Project Manager, BOM & PLM Systems
Overview
You will own the accuracy and completeness of Service BOMs for the Aftermarket organization, ensuring alignment with Engineering, Manufacturing, and As-Built BOMs. Reporting to the Aftermarket leadership at a Charlotte manufacturing site, you act as the primary liaison across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Software teams. You drive cross-functional collaboration, resolve BOM discrepancies, and support software and data integration initiatives. Using Windchill, SAP, and Creo, you ensure service content reflects current engineering changes. This role offers hybrid work flexibility while requiring on-site presence as needed, with direct impact on service parts data quality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own and maintain Service BOM accuracy, ensuring alignment with EBOM, MBOM, and As-Built BOMs.
- 2Investigate and resolve BOM and product data discrepancies, updating records in Windchill and related systems.
- 3Support engineering change and release activities impacting service BOMs and documentation.
- 4Coordinate creation and review of service catalog content, including illustrations and drawings.
- 5Obtain and validate technical documentation from internal teams and external suppliers.
- 6Integrate supplier service information into product service BOMs and service catalogs.
- 7Serve as primary Aftermarket representative for software and data integration projects.
- 8Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple initiatives, presenting status updates to stakeholders.
- 9Lead governance reviews and action planning sessions to drive issue resolution.
- 10Coordinate offshore resources and extended teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in product data management, configuration management, or technical project management.
- 2Advanced experience with PLM/PDM systems, specifically Windchill.
- 3Working knowledge of SAP for material and BOM research.
- 4Hands-on experience with Creo or SolidWorks for model and drawing review.
- 5Experience supporting Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) processes.
- 6Strong understanding of Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service processes.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
- 9Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
