PLM Program Manager, CAD & Digital Transformation
Overview
You will lead complex PLM and CAD software projects at Applied Materials, driving digital transformation for global semiconductor equipment manufacturing. You will own program execution from planning to delivery, managing scope, budget, and cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with engineering leadership to automate business processes and boost design quality. This role offers 10+ years of project leadership with exposure to Teamcenter, Windchill, and CAD/ECAD tools.
What You'll Do10
- 1Drive engineering leadership engagement to identify automation opportunities and implement business process solutions that enhance productivity and design quality.
- 2Own program execution against scope, timeline, and budget guardrails, ensuring on-time delivery of PLM and CAD initiatives.
- 3Track execution and compliance metrics, providing regular status updates and feedback to stakeholders across global teams.
- 4Lead all aspects of project planning and execution, adhering to established processes and guidelines.
- 5Collaborate with line managers and resource management to staff projects and resolve staffing issues promptly.
- 6Manage project financial processes, reporting, and escalation to maintain budget compliance.
- 7Conduct quality reviews to ensure documentation and solutions meet high standards.
- 8Mitigate project risks by identifying, evaluating, and addressing them per established guidelines.
- 9Mentor and train project managers, recognized as a subject matter expert in Project Management.
- 10Champion digital transformation by integrating GenAI concepts and industry trends into program strategies.
Requirements9
- 110+ years managing complex software and engineering projects in a technology company.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3Deep familiarity with PLM systems like Teamcenter and Windchill.
- 4Hands-on experience with CAD applications: UG NX, Solidworks, Inventor, Creo.
- 5Working knowledge of ECAD tools: Zuken E3s, OrCAD, Altium.
- 6Proficiency with project management tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Project.
- 7Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage competing priorities.
- 8Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
- 9PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum certifications are a plus.
