Overview

You will own the patient experience at a leading nonprofit in children's mental health, handling all administrative support for a team of clinicians. You will manage calendars, schedule appointments in the EMR system, and process billing for a high-volume practice. Your work ensures smooth operations and clear communication between families and clinicians. This full-time role is based onsite in New York City and reports to a Senior Staff Associate.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Deliver a high-quality patient experience for families receiving care.
  • 2Manage clinicians' calendars to ensure efficient use of clinical time, scheduling appointments in the EMR system.
  • 3Facilitate phone and email communication between clinicians and patients, resolving issues promptly.
  • 4Collect initial patient information, perform intakes, and coordinate services.
  • 5Check in patient appointments and process daily billing through the EMR system.
  • 6Maintain accurate and updated patient records, strictly following HIPAA guidelines to protect personal health information.
  • 7Perform additional job-related duties as needed to support the clinical team.

Requirements7

  • 12+ years of administrative or office experience required.
  • 2High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  • 4Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 6Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain HIPAA compliance.
