Overview

<B>HIM</B> operations expert will own coordinating health information management workflows at scale in a leading healthcare organization. This onsite contract role supports medical record processes, quality reviews, error identification, corrective actions, and data reporting within a collaborative team. You will ensure records are accurate, current, and readily available while maintaining compliance. What You'll Do6

  • 1Build and coordinate medical record activities including retrieval, release, tracking, deficiencies, document management, corrections, forms management, and compliance using <B>EMR</B> and HIM systems
  • 2Identify errors and root causes, develop corrective actions, and design preventive action plans with standard quality tools
  • 3Perform productivity and quality reviews, collect data, and assist with workload distribution across the team
  • 4Coordinate planned and unplanned downtime procedures and support operations during downtime and recovery
  • 5Train new employees and educate teammates on new processes and changes
  • 6Provide excellent customer service and maintain compliance with departmental and organizational standards

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma required
  • 2Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3Minimum of three (3) years of health information management or healthcare experience
  • 4RHIT or RHIA certification preferred
  • 5Strong knowledge of electronic medical records, HIM processes, and healthcare information systems
  • 6Strong analytical thinking, independent decision-making, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • 7Ability to provide technical expertise and training to team members
  • 8Onsite in Houston, TX - contract position
