Overview
Own health information management within a medical records team at a large organization. Manage patient health records in accordance with standards and maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility. Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely patient care and compliant information sharing. This role emphasizes precise data handling, ROI processing, and cross‑department coordination while onsite in St Paul MN.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and maintain patient records in the EHR to ensure completeness and accuracy for upcoming appointments
- 2Format and file Release of Information requests for internal and external customers
- 3Review medical records for deficiencies and discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- 4Provide patient record access support and respond to medical record inquiries from providers and care teams
- 5Prioritize workloads to meet time‑sensitive documentation deadlines and maintain confidentiality
Requirements5
- 11 to 3 years of experience in Health Information Management or medical records
- 2Currently enrolled in an AHIMA‑accredited Health Information Management program or equivalent
- 3Relevant certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCA, or CCS are a plus
- 4Additional education such as an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 5This is a fully onsite contract position based out of St Paul MN
