Overview

Own EMR data quality and chart management for a healthcare team at scale in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will maintain electronic charts, ensure record integrity, and support staff with timely access to documentation. You will work with Allscripts and Cerner to manage patient information across departments. This role emphasizes accuracy, privacy compliance, and thoughtful detail in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain accurate patient charts within Allscripts and Cerner EMR systems to ensure completeness.
  • 2Process chart update requests, document retrieval, and corrections while adhering to privacy and compliance standards.
  • 3Enter, scan, and index clinical and administrative documentation into patient charts with high attention to detail.
  • 4Support clinical and administrative staff by locating and providing medical record information for patient care, audits, and operations.
  • 5Monitor data quality by identifying missing or duplicate records and take follow-up action to maintain integrity.
  • 6Assist with EMR workflows and system-based record organization across departments.
  • 7Help ensure all medical records activities comply with retention policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • 8Maintain familiarity with patient records processes, documentation standards, and privacy practices in a healthcare setting.
  • 9Demonstrate clear communication with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate record activities.
  • 10Prioritize tasks and manage high volumes of information efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements10

  • 1Experience in medical records, health information management, or similar records-focused healthcare role.
  • 2Hands-on familiarity with electronic medical record systems and digital patient chart management.
  • 3Working knowledge of patient medical records processes, documentation standards, and confidentiality practices.
  • 4Experience using EMR technologies such as Allscripts or Cerner in a healthcare setting.
  • 5Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of information accurately.
  • 6Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • 7Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
  • 8On-site availability in Boston, MA for a contract role.
  • 9Experience with privacy and compliance standards related to patient records.
  • 10Demonstrated reliability and organizational skills in a healthcare records environment.
