Overview

What You'll Do9

  • 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K-8, addressing receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological processing, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic communication.
  • 2Design and implement Social Thinking®-based Social Club programming for Autistic students to build social interaction skills.
  • 3Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments using tools like the CELF-5 to identify communication disorders.
  • 4Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • 5Maintain accurate, confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation per IDEA regulations and school policies.
  • 6Collaborate with general and special education staff to provide classroom strategies for at-risk or struggling students.
  • 7Participate actively in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and family consultations.
  • 8Attend weekly team meetings and regular supervision with an experienced SLP manager, and contribute to school-wide professional development.
  • 9Engage with outside experts and Social Thinking® consultants through monthly supervision, and supervise graduate-level SLP students.

Requirements8

  • 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP; Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
  • 3TSSLD Certification Required
  • 4Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners
  • 5Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® curriculum
  • 6Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • 7Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
  • 8Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
