Speech Language Pathologist, K-8 Schools
Overview
You will own speech and language therapy for K–8 students at a mission-driven charter network, supporting Autistic learners and students with diverse communication needs. Work with a team of 4+ in-house SLPs and receive direct mentorship from a licensed team manager. Access monthly Social Thinking® consultations and a $250 CEU allowance. What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K–8.
- 2Address receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological processing, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic skills.
- 3Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking® methodologies.
- 4Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
- 5Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
- 6Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
- 7Provide support to general education and special education staff with classroom strategies and interventions.
- 8Participate actively in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and family consultations.
- 9Attend weekly team meetings and regular supervision with an experienced SLP team manager.
Requirements9
- 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
- 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- 3TSSLD certification required.
- 4Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply with high-quality supervision provided.
- 5Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners.
- 6Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® curriculum.
- 7Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- 8Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred.
- 9Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
