What You'll Do10

  • 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K-8, targeting receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological processing, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills.
  • 2Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking methodologies.
  • 3Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
  • 4Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance with the IEP team.
  • 5Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to IDEA regulations and school policies.
  • 6Support general and special education staff with classroom strategies and interventions for at-risk or struggling students.
  • 7Participate actively in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and family consultations.
  • 8Work closely with school leaders, teachers, and specialists to ensure holistic support for students.
  • 9Attend weekly team meetings and regular supervision with an experienced SLP team manager.
  • 10Contribute to school-wide professional development and engage with outside experts and Social Thinking consultants monthly.

Requirements9

  • 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
  • 3Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply with high-quality supervision provided
  • 4TSSLD Certification required
  • 5Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners
  • 6Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking curriculum
  • 7Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • 8Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
  • 9Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
