Speech Language Pathologist, K-8 School Support
Overview
You will own speech and language therapy for K-8 students, many with Autism, delivering individualized and group services. You will join a team of 4+ in-house SLPs with direct mentorship from a licensed SLP manager. Monthly consultations with a Social Thinking® trainer and a $250 CEU allowance support your growth. You will shape programming and mentor graduate students in a mission-driven school.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver individualized and small-group therapy to students with IEPs across K-8, covering articulation, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic language.
- 2Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking® methodologies.
- 3Conduct evaluations and screenings to identify communication disorders, then develop and update IEP goals and present levels.
- 4Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation under IDEA regulations.
- 5Provide classroom strategies to teachers and support staff for at-risk students, participating in IEP and family meetings.
- 6Collaborate with school leaders and specialists to ensure holistic student support.
- 7Attend weekly team meetings and supervision, and engage with Social Thinking® consultants monthly.
- 8Utilize $250 CEU reimbursement and supervise graduate-level SLP students.
Requirements7
- 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
- 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP, with TSSLD Certification required.
- 3Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply with high-quality supervision.
- 4Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners.
- 5Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® curriculum.
- 6Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- 7Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
