School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) K-8
Overview
NCS seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to own therapy delivery for K-8 students, many on the Autism spectrum. You will provide individualized and group speech therapy, design Social Club programming with Social Thinking® methods, and collaborate with a team of 4+ in-house SLPs. Direct mentorship from a licensed SLP manager, monthly Social Thinking® consultation, and a $250 CEU allowance support your growth. This role offers leadership opportunities, including supervising graduate students, within a mission-driven school culture.
What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech therapy to students with IEPs across K-8, addressing expressive/receptive language, articulation, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills.
- 2Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking® methodologies.
- 3Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
- 4Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
- 5Maintain accurate and confidential records, including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
- 6Support general education and special education staff with classroom strategies for at-risk students.
- 7Participate actively in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and family consultations.
- 8Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings and supervision with an experienced SLP manager.
- 9Engage with outside experts and Social Thinking® consultants monthly, and take advantage of $250 CEU reimbursement.
Requirements9
- 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
- 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- 3TSSLD Certification required
- 4Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply – high-quality supervision provided
- 5Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners
- 6Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® curriculum
- 7Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- 8Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
- 9Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
