What You'll Do8

  • 1Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to K-8 students with IEPs, targeting receptive/expressive language, articulation, phonological processing, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic skills.
  • 2Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking® methodologies.
  • 3Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders and determine eligibility for services.
  • 4Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • 5Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to IDEA regulations and school policies.
  • 6Provide support to general education and special education staff with classroom strategies and interventions for at-risk or struggling students.
  • 7Participate in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and family consultations to ensure holistic support for students.
  • 8Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings and regular supervision with an experienced SLP team manager, and engage in monthly Social Thinking® consultations.

Requirements8

  • 1Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
  • 2Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP; clinical fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply with high-quality supervision provided.
  • 3TSSLD Certification required.
  • 4Experience supporting school-aged students with disabilities, especially Autistic learners.
  • 5Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® curriculum.
  • 6Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • 7Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred.
  • 8Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
