Special Events Manager at DREAM
Overview
DREAM seeks a detail-oriented strategic thinker to lead fundraising and cultivation events driving $7M of $21M annual revenue. This role manages Supporter Engagement events and collaborates with communications and major gifts teams to enhance donor experiences. What You'll Do11
- 1Lead creation and management of operational systems and project plans for all Supporter Engagement events
- 2Manage logistics including vendor coordination budgeting registration and run-of-show
- 3Partner with Communications Team to handle event branding invitations and materials
- 4Support programmatic events such as graduations volunteer activations and community partnerships
- 5Contribute to fundraising strategies day-of execution and stewardship of donors and sponsors
- 6Manage in-kind donations and auction coordination
- 7Serve as Salesforce super user to maintain records and generate reports
- 8Work with Director of Advancement Operations on budget forecasts and financial reporting
- 9Contribute to donor experience strategy and design mission-aligned event touchpoints
- 10Oversee fundraising operations management for event pipeline integration with major gifts
- 11Drive innovation in event procedures and ensure proper revenue tracking in Salesforce
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree with 3-6 years experience planning fundraising or cultivation events in nonprofit settings
- 2Proven success managing revenue-driving events and building donor loyalty
- 3Strong guest experience focus from outreach to post-event activities
- 4Ability to execute complex projects with attention to detail
- 5Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-department collaboration experience
- 6Proficiency in Salesforce Google/Microsoft Suites Asana Cvent Canva
- 7Creative event design and guest experience expertise
- 8Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- 9Enthusiasm for growth in Special Events and alignment with DREAM mission
