Overview
We seek an Events and Engagement Specialist to lead Marketing and Communications. This role drives signature events that boost brand and engagement. You will collaborate with campus partners to plan, promote, and execute high-profile events while supporting venue rentals and marketing initiatives. What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate institutional events including orientation graduation and board meetings
- 2Develop project plans and run-of-show documents for complex events
- 3Manage logistics such as venues catering AV and accessibility
- 4Serve as primary contact for events working with vendors and partners
- 5Support executive-level events for leadership and donors
- 6Drive speaker and VIP guest experiences
- 7Handle event budgets and post-event reconciliation
- 8Troubleshoot on-site operations and ensure seamless attendee experience
- 9Collaborate with Marketing on promotional strategies and outreach
- 10Maintain venue rental marketing and coordinate site visits
- 11Contribute to college-wide event strategy and operational improvements
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications Event Management Hospitality Business or related field
- 24+ years event planning experience managing complex multi-stakeholder events
- 3Proven ability to execute executive-level ceremonies and VIP functions
- 4Strong project management skills with experience handling budgets and vendor contracts
- 5Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- 6Experience with event registration CRM and collaboration platforms
- 7Knowledge of accessibility standards and risk management practices
- 8Ability to cultivate inclusive welcoming environments for diverse communities
- 9Demonstrated experience in confidentiality and sensitive information handling
- 10Preference for candidates with arts nonprofit or higher education experience
- 11Familiarity with event budgeting reporting and analytics tools
