Overview

CoStar Group seeks a Director Events Sponsorships & Partnerships to lead event management in Washington DC. This role drives strategy and execution for multi-million dollar internal and external events across North America and Europe. The ideal candidate is proactive creative leader with 5+ years experience managing 7-9 team members and external partners.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Research develop plan and manage multi-million-dollar events from concept to delivery
  • 2Collaborate across functions to drive consensus and create solutions-oriented plans
  • 3Partner with contractors to negotiate major contracts for accommodations entertainment venues vendors
  • 4Work with creative design video marketing teams to oversee event branding production vendors
  • 5Manage budget creation and resource optimization for Events team
  • 6Set standards for quality creativity and consistency while driving projects to deadlines
  • 7Handle communications process audio visual production staffing project plans contracting team assignments
  • 8Oversee industry partnerships sponsor external initiatives and manage vendor relationships
  • 9Provide leadership and hands-on execution for conferences exhibitions and client events
  • 10Demonstrate strong time management leadership dedication and communication skills

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • 2Masters preferred 10+ years planning large-scale events
  • 37+ years managing teams and executing events
  • 4Proven experience with CMP certification Cvent platform
  • 5Ability to travel 20-30% for events and pre-event preparation
  • 6Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • 7Meticulous attention to detail organizational skills
  • 8Experience articulating ideas securing decisions presenting to senior stakeholders
  • 9Flexibility adapting to fast-paced changing environments
  • 10Physical ability to exert force for moving objects
  • 11Eligible to work full-time in United States
