Event Coordinator, Part-Time, Hospitality & Venue Management
Overview
You will own day-of event execution at our Pittsburgh venue, managing logistics for weddings, corporate gatherings, and social events. Reporting to the Director of Event Sales, you will coordinate vendors, conduct property tours, and handle client communication to ensure seamless experiences. This role requires on-site presence, evening and weekend availability, and offers $22.75/hour for 25-30 hours per week. You will build relationships with vendors and drive repeat business through exceptional service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Oversee day-of event logistics, including venue setup, vendor coordination, and on-site troubleshooting to deliver flawless events.
- 2Serve as the primary contact for vendors and contractors, providing clear direction and real-time support.
- 3Support the Director of Event Sales by conducting property tours and showcasing our event spaces to potential clients.
- 4Manage client inquiries and issues during planning and execution, ensuring high-touch service that drives repeat bookings.
- 5Build vendor relationships and secure permits for food, beverage, décor, and entertainment services.
- 6Partner with property leadership and cross-functional teams to align on event goals and execution details.
- 7Monitor event areas to ensure guest safety and resolve any issues that arise during events.
- 8Direct event breakdown, remove all items, and properly store materials post-event.
Requirements7
- 12-3+ years in event management, hospitality, or related field; wedding event experience a plus.
- 2CMP, CSEP, or CPCE certification preferred.
- 3Proficiency with project management, event, or CRM software.
- 4Detail-oriented with a passion for exceptional guest experiences.
- 5Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
- 6Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- 7Strong organizational and project management skills.
