Development Manager, Nonprofit Fundraising & Partnerships
Overview
You will lead individual giving and corporate partnerships for Exposure Project Incorporated, a Charlotte nonprofit connecting youth to career experiences. You will rebuild donor infrastructure, cultivate major gifts, and activate corporate sponsorships, owning a pipeline that grows from $250K to $1M over two years. Working with the Executive Director and a small team, you will shape fundraising strategy and tell our story. This role offers direct community impact and the chance to build a sustainable funding base from the ground up.
What You'll Do7
- 1Rebuild the individual donor program, segmenting past supporters and launching a monthly giving campaign with Salesforce within 90 days.
- 2Research and qualify 20 prospective major donors, mapping their interests to program needs and scheduling first meetings.
- 3Own the corporate sponsorship pipeline, recruiting 5 new local businesses and designing hands-on student engagement events.
- 4Develop a stewardship plan for existing sponsors, increasing renewal rates through quarterly impact reports and site visits.
- 5Create donor and sponsor-facing collateral, including a one-page impact summary and a sponsorship deck using Canva.
- 6Track all donor interactions and gifts in HubSpot, generating monthly pipeline reports for the Executive Director and board.
- 7Lead 2 fundraising events, coordinating logistics, volunteer teams, and post-event follow-up with attendees.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in donor cultivation, sponsorship sales, or business development.
- 2Proven track record of converting relationships into six-figure gifts or sponsorships.
- 3Experience with donor databases or CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- 4Excellent written and verbal communication skills for donor calls and presentations.
- 5Self-starter with strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- 6Comfortable representing the mission at public events and community meetings.
- 7Commitment to youth development and the organization's purpose.
Salary Insight
