What You'll Do9
- 1Greet patients and families at check-in, creating a welcoming first impression for every visit.
- 2Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and route calls to clinical staff.
- 3Check in patients using EPIC, collecting and updating demographic and insurance details.
- 4Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to prevent billing errors.
- 5Support check-out by scheduling follow-ups and explaining referral processes.
- 6Assist with patient forms and consents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- 7Manage no-show rescheduling and waitlist to maximize provider utilization.
- 8Coordinate with clinical teams to address urgent scheduling requests.
- 9Handle patient inquiries with empathy, de-escalating concerns and escalating to leadership when needed.
Requirements8
- 1GED or high school diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
- 21+ year of work history required.
- 3Experience in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- 4Proficiency with electronic health records (preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 6Ability to work onsite in Maywood, IL, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
- 7Flexibility for late Tuesday clinic rotation every 3 weeks and occasional Saturdays every 3 months.
- 8Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
