Overview

You will run the front desk at The Pediatric Center of Grand Prairie, a high-volume pediatric practice seeing 80+ patients daily. You'll own patient check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification, becoming the trusted first and last point of contact for families. Working alongside a close-knit team of medical assistants and providers, you'll keep the front office flowing smoothly. What You'll Do8

  • 1Answer incoming calls and schedule pediatric appointments based on provider availability.
  • 2Verify insurance coverage and benefits, updating patient demographics in the practice management system.
  • 3Check patients in and out, collecting co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • 4Maintain patient flow by completing registration within 15 minutes of arrival.
  • 5Communicate with parents and providers to coordinate follow-up care and referrals.
  • 6Triage urgent scheduling requests and direct to clinical staff when needed.
  • 7Assist with front-office coverage at the Las Colinas office as required.
  • 8Train new front-desk staff on check-in procedures and insurance verification.

Requirements8

  • 12+ years in a healthcare front-office role, required.
  • 2Hands-on experience with insurance verification and benefit checks.
  • 3Proficiency with electronic practice management systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks or similar).
  • 4Ability to multitask in a high-volume pediatric setting.
  • 5Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • 6Flexibility to work at Las Colinas location and reliable transportation.
  • 7Proven attendance record and punctuality.
  • 8Full-time availability Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
