What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead preconstruction from conceptual design through GMP, final pricing, and project buyout.
  • 2Develop detailed estimates at conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction levels.
  • 3Establish and maintain project budgets through design phases.
  • 4Review plans, specs, scopes, and design documents for constructability, cost, and risk.
  • 5Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives with owners and design teams.
  • 6Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
  • 7Build project schedules and support milestone planning.
  • 8Facilitate preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • 9Cultivate strong client, design partner, and subcontractor relationships.
  • 10Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating systems.

Requirements9

  • 16+ years in commercial construction with strong preconstruction and estimating.
  • 2Previous role as Senior Preconstruction Manager, Senior Estimator, or Preconstruction Manager.
  • 3Solid grasp of commercial construction methods, materials, pricing, and constructability.
  • 4Track record of managing estimates and budgets across design stages.
  • 5Clear communication with owners, architects, engineers, and leadership.
  • 6Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • 7Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • 8Experience in healthcare, data centers, education, office, or industrial is a plus.
  • 9Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
