What You'll Do11
- 1Provide estimates from schematic design through construction documents
- 2Draft trade subcontractor scopes negotiate with vendors and manage project costs
- 3Coordinate logistics scheduling and staffing with operations teams
- 4Develop trust with clients and mentors preconstruction staff
- 5Create General Conditions and Construction Requirements cost estimates
- 6Train and mentor preconstruction team members
- 7Engage with Business Development to pursue new work and nurture relationships
- 8Identify leads and lead pursuit efforts independently
- 9Participate in local community professional organizations
- 10Act as liaison between project leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
- 11Oversee project transitions from acquisition to closeout
Requirements11
- 18+ years Preconstruction or related field experience with commercial general contractors
- 2Proficiency with 3D modeling software for preconstruction phases
- 3College graduate with degree in Construction Management or related discipline
- 4Demonstrated success leading projects from RFQ to buyout
- 5Experience managing junior team members and developing RFQ responses
- 6Track record of negotiated lump sum contracts with proven wins
- 7Knowledge of local market construction practices and buyout strategies
- 8Ability to rapidly produce estimates from minimal data sets
- 9Risk identification skills regarding contracts insurance schedules and safety protocols
- 10Advanced familiarity with Destini Estimator Onscreen Takeoff BIM and Excel
- 11Experience with Procore Revit or SketchUp preferred
