What You'll Do20
- 1Cultivate new and existing business relationships through client pursuits RFPs and interviews
- 2Promote Company to external partners and contacts
- 3Establish long-term relationships with owners architects engineers and trade partners
- 4Provide accurate estimates and value engineering
- 5Assume full responsibility for preconstruction stage of each project
- 6Create detailed project budgets across conceptual SD DD and CD stages
- 7Identify tasks to satisfy contractual requirements
- 8Ensure estimates schedules constructability reviews value engineering efforts meet quality standards
- 9Lead preconstruction oversight and project solution development
- 10Manage estimating process from advertising prequalification to award
- 11Coordinate with departments to complete preconstruction at drawing milestones
- 12Interface with Owner Architect/Engineers and trade partners to resolve technical matters
- 13Organize estimator teams with clear responsibilities and deadlines
- 14Prepare estimates for all design stages including Design/Build Guaranteed Maximum Price and Hard Bid
- 15Perform value engineering and life-cycle costing
- 16Develop bid packages and trade partners scopes of work
- 17Coordinate subcontract awards and write all subcontracts
- 18Foster industry reputation through relationship building and strategic opportunity identification
- 19Organize departmental teams for efficient estimator collaboration
- 20Write all bid packages and coordinate project manager award decisions
Requirements11
- 1Associates degree in Construction Management or Estimating preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field
- 26+ years of estimating experience for general commercial construction
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 4Experience with estimating software Destini or Planswift
- 5Strong reading ability for drawings and specifications
- 6Deep understanding of commercial construction industry practices and standards
- 7Knowledge of construction costs project budgeting vendor selection client proposals and owner/architect/general contractor expertise
- 8Verifiable work references
- 9Successful completion of post-offer background and drug screening
- 10Safety sensitivity required all positions may require site visits
- 11Ability to travel to construction sites as needed
