You will own the estimating process for electrical construction projects, from initial client contact to bid submission, driving profitable growth for HBC Company Inc. You will work with HeavyBid to prepare detailed estimates, collaborate with Project Managers and Logistics, and build vendor and subcontractor relationships. What You'll Do10
- 1Generate bid opportunities by contacting potential clients via phone, mail, or walk-in.
- 2Evaluate job specifications to confirm company capability before committing to a bid.
- 3Create accurate cost estimates using HeavyBid to ensure profitable project pricing.
- 4Plan material, labor, and timeline requirements for each project estimate.
- 5Submit completed estimates to management on schedule for review and approval.
- 6Coordinate with Project Managers to transition awarded jobs into execution.
- 7Maintain organized records of open bids, lost bids, awarded bids, and completed jobs.
- 8Review finished projects with the team to refine future estimating accuracy.
- 9Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure best pricing for bid packages.
- 10Prepare all bid package paperwork, reading detailed plans and specs meticulously.
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2Prior estimating experience in construction or electrical work required.
- 3Proficiency with HeavyBid estimating software preferred.
- 4Strong math aptitude for cost calculations and budget analysis.
