Overview
Lead preconstruction activities across multiple privately owned commercial General Contractors in Dallas Fort Worth. Oversee full preconstruction process from conceptual design through project buyout while driving client relationships and project success.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead and oversee all preconstruction activities from conceptual design through project buyout
- 2Manage estimating budgeting scheduling value engineering constructability reviews and bid procurement
- 3Develop and maintain relationships with owners architects engineers subcontractors and vendors
- 4Lead preconstruction meetings and communicate project strategy budgets and risks to stakeholders
- 5Review plans specifications scopes and project requirements to identify issues and cost-saving opportunities
- 6Establish and maintain project budgets provide accurate cost estimates throughout design process
- 7Lead and mentor preconstruction estimating team members
- 8Partner with Project Management and Operations teams for smooth transition from preconstruction to construction
- 9Assist with business development client presentations proposals and pursuit strategies
- 10Help develop and improve preconstruction processes systems and best practices
- 11Provide leadership and strategic direction as company grows
Requirements8
- 18+ years commercial construction experience with significant preconstruction and estimating background
- 2Previous experience in Senior Preconstruction Manager Preconstruction Director Chief Estimator or similar leadership role
- 3Strong understanding of commercial construction methods pricing scheduling and constructability
- 4Experience leading complex commercial projects from conceptual budgeting through GMP/buyout
- 5Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients subcontractors and design partners
- 6Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring preconstruction estimating professionals
- 7Proficiency with construction estimating and project management software
- 8Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field preferred
