Overview
As a Senior Operations Engineer, you will own the technical execution of complex industrial projects, managing cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with strict safety and quality standards. You'll lead project scoping, scheduling, and resource planning, coordinating with customers, vendors, and municipalities. You'll also direct field teams of pipefitters, plumbers, and electricians. Travel 75% of the time with expenses covered and a $70 per diem.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead technical execution of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to D-Riven safety and quality standards.
- 2Coordinate with management and customers to develop scope, costing, and project plans.
- 3Support Project Engineers in creating timelines and resource plans.
- 4Review engineering drawings and schematics, including utility demands and foundation requirements.
- 5Complete design reviews with customers and vendors, and work with municipalities on permits.
- 6Develop comprehensive resource plans and workflow plans for complex tasks.
- 7Direct installation teams of pipefitters, plumbers, electricians, and controls technicians.
- 8Review technical reports and ensure compliance with codes and quality policies.
- 9Mentor and evaluate less experienced engineers and team leads.
- 10Interact with clients daily to provide progress updates and interpret evolving needs.
Requirements10
- 13+ years field experience as an Operations Engineer, Technical Manager, or equivalent in industrial environments.
- 2Willingness to travel 70-80% and work on site for extended periods.
- 3Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks design software.
- 4Mastery of engineering drawings, schematics, and standards interpretation.
- 5Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- 6Familiarity with industrial rules, regulations, and best practices.
- 7Ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Concrete, Rigging).
- 8Proven project management and supervisory skills.
- 9Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 10Electrical or mechanical trade certifications considered equivalent.
