Mechanical Project Engineer, Manufacturing & CAD
Overview
You will own mechanical engineering and process improvement projects from concept through validation at a growing midsize manufacturer with 3-5 active projects. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will partner with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to boost equipment reliability and production performance. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead mechanical engineering and process improvement projects from concept through installation, startup, and validation.
- 2Develop detailed technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- 3Create initial design concepts from engineering data, calculations, and measurements.
- 4Design and revise mechanical components, assemblies, and production documentation.
- 5Troubleshoot equipment and process issues during installation and implementation.
- 6Provide ongoing technical support for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- 7Translate sketches into functional models and assembly documents with SolidWorks.
- 8Research equipment and components through vendors and technical resources.
- 9Standardize engineering drawings and design documentation to improve consistency.
- 10Manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organization and follow-through.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 23-7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 34+ years producing technical drawings and managing mechanical projects.
- 4Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- 5Experience designing, installing, or improving manufacturing equipment.
- 6Strong mechanical aptitude and engineering analysis skills.
- 7Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- 8Project management and documentation capabilities.
- 9Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.
