Overview

You will own the design and development of standard and custom workholding systems for a global leader in precision manufacturing. Using Siemens NX and Teamcenter, you will produce robust 3D models, 2D documentation, and validate designs through FEA (Ansys). You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet exacting specifications. What You'll Do10

  • 1Design and develop robust workholding systems, creating fully defined 3D models and 2D documentation in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • 2Validate product designs through feasibility studies and FEA (Ansys) testing, applying DFMA and DFSS principles.
  • 3Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems, applying principles of mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • 4Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives by implementing engineering calculations and manufacturing detail drawings.
  • 5Guide mechanical designers, ensuring conformance to design standards and customer scope.
  • 6Work with customers to identify improvement opportunities and provide immediate feedback.
  • 7Participate in the CAPA system, initiating reports, conducting root cause investigations, and verifying preventive actions.
  • 8Support manufacturing through ECNs and lean techniques, and maintain the engineering database using internal software.
  • 9Assist IT with license servers and improve Epicor-related processes.
  • 10Stay current with industry trends and professional knowledge through workshops and publications.

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of mechanical engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with an associate degree, or equivalent combination.
  • 2Proficiency in Siemens NX (2312 or higher) and Teamcenter for 3D modeling and documentation.
  • 3Experience with Ansys for FEA analysis and validation.
  • 4Knowledge of DFMA, DFSS, and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • 5Ability to use measuring equipment and gauges for quality assurance.
  • 6Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and timely completion.
  • 7Solid understanding of mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and materials.
  • 8Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • 9Commitment to ethical practices and organizational values.
  • 10Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions.
