What You'll Do11
- 1Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC/BMS and repair mechanical electrical plumbing life safety building systems
- 2Diagnose complex equipment issues determine root causes and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision
- 3Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize reliability reduce downtime and extend asset life
- 4Conduct skilled multi-trade work including carpentry plumbing drywall painting lock systems furniture installation and general construction repairs
- 5Support low-voltage cabling network infrastructure and audiovisual system installations modifications and maintenance
- 6Create manage and complete work orders maintain maintenance records inspection logs reports and other required documentation
- 7Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors ensure compliance with safety requirements access procedures and approved scopes of work
- 8Lead safety initiatives enforce company policies apply Lockout/Tagout procedures identify hazards and support emergency response activities
- 9Safely operate and inspect forklifts scissor lifts pallet jacks turret trucks and other specialized material handling equipment
- 10Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians share technical expertise support troubleshooting promote continuous skills development
- 11Provide operational support across multiple locations respond to service requests support facility security procedures recommend improvements assist with after hours or emergency response needs
Requirements11
- 1H.S. Diploma or GED required one year certificate from college or tech school required
- 24-6 years experience in HVAC plumbing mechanical electrical or equivalent
- 3Extensive knowledge of commercial facility maintenance operations and construction practices
- 4OSHA 30 required or willing to obtain within first ninety days of employment
- 5Detail oriented with strong communication skills verbal and written
- 6Proficiency in carpentry plumbing systems furniture and general building maintenance
- 7Computer literacy a must Microsoft Office Suite Teams
- 8Ability to work independently prioritize workload and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- 9Strong understanding of building infrastructure facility systems including HVAC/BMS and equipment operations
- 10Self-motivated detail-oriented capable of maintaining positive working relationships with employees contractors and vendors
- 11Valid driver license in NJ or NY ability to travel between campus buildings Orangeburg NY and Cresskill NJ
