Senior CNC Service Engineer, Manufacturing Automation Dallas
Overview
Own field service for high precision CNC machinery across Dallas with hands-on diagnosis, installation, and maintenance at customer sites. Lead complex troubleshooting spanning mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems for Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, and Heidenhain controls. Collaborate with customers to optimize machine performance, drive uptime, and support production integration. This role blends engineering expertise with direct customer engagement in a field-based setting.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead advanced diagnosis and repair across mechanical electrical hydraulic and control subsystems
- 2Install Commissioning and production integration for CNC machines at customer sites
- 3Execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability
- 4Serve as a trusted advisor to customers to optimize machine performance and processes
- 5Troubleshoot and support CNC control systems including Fanuc Siemens Mazak and Heidenhain
- 6Document service reports diagnostics and repairs with detailed records
- 7Respond to on site emergencies to minimize downtime in critical situations
- 8Ensure safety compliance and alignment with customer requirements
- 9Provide on going technical support and knowledge transfer to customers and junior staff
- 10Coordinate with regional teams to align service coverage and spare parts logistics
Requirements10
- 1Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands on experience
- 28–10+ years of CNC service repair and troubleshooting experience
- 3Strong electrical background with ability to read schematics and prints
- 4Proven experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc Siemens Mazak or Heidenhain
- 5Knowledge of servo systems drives PLCs and automation technologies
- 6Experience with precision alignment tools such as laser calibration or ball bar
- 7Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
- 8Ability to work independently in a field based role and manage travel
- 9Up to 50% regional travel around Dallas and surrounding territory
- 10Valid driver’s license and willingness to perform occasional overnight travel
