Overview

Own field service for CNC Lathes and Machining Centers across Colorado with regional travel. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain high-precision CNC equipment for manufacturing clients. You’ll collaborate with customers, train users, and report on diagnostics and parts used. This role offers hands-on problem solving, ongoing technical training, and exposure to cutting-edge automation technology.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Install CNC machines and accessories at customer sites including assembly, leveling, alignment, calibration, and wiring
  • 2Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on CNC equipment in the field
  • 3Test machines after installation or repair to ensure proper functionality and performance
  • 4Train customers on equipment operation, features, and maintenance best practices
  • 5Travel regionally with frequent overnight stays to support customer needs
  • 6Prepare detailed service reports including diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts utilized
  • 7Utilize precision testing equipment for troubleshooting including indicators, gauges, and measurement tools
  • 8Continuously learn new machine features, controls, and accessory upgrades as technology evolves
  • 9Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while operating at customer locations
  • 10Travel up to 2 to 5 times per year

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of field service experience working with industrial or CNC equipment
  • 2Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics
  • 3Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in complex machinery
  • 4Working knowledge of PLC systems and hydraulic or pneumatic circuits
  • 5Proficiency with general computer systems and reporting tools
  • 6Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • 7Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting
  • 8Excellent interpersonal skills for customer interaction and training
  • 9Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally exceed that as required
  • 10Completion of a high school diploma and 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical systems, or machine tool assembly
