CNC Machinery Field Service Technician, Portland & Onsite
Overview
Own on site installation, repair, and maintenance of CNC machinery at customer locations with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring top performance. Lead field service from initial diagnosis through calibration, training, and documentation for a variety of CNC controls. Work within a collaborative team and leverage company resources to provide exceptional customer support. This role offers hands on troubleshooting, travel, and ongoing technical training in a growing organization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Install diagnose and repair CNC machinery at customer sites ensuring optimal performance
- 2Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- 3Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics technical manuals and diagnostic software
- 4Calibrate and align machine components to factory specifications
- 5Provide on site training and technical support on machine operation and maintenance best practices
- 6Document service activities parts usage and reports accurately and promptly
- 7Collaborate with internal technical support teams to resolve complex equipment issues
- 8Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure tools and diagnostic equipment are in proper working condition
- 9Adhere to safety policies while working in manufacturing environments
- 10Travel to customer locations including occasional overnight travel
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required
- 23+ years of experience servicing CNC machines or similar industrial equipment
- 3Strong knowledge of CNC controls Fanuc Siemens Haas or similar
- 4Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- 5Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- 6Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 7Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments
- 8Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
