Field Service Technician, CNC & Industrial Machinery
Overview
2-year technical degree or equivalent military experience, traveling to support CNC lathes and machining centers at customer sites. Owns the technical guidance for diagnostics, repair, installation, and training. Works from a home base with a regional travel schedule and overnight stays. What You'll Do5
- 1Build and diagnose electrical, mechanical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery
- 2Install and test after installation to ensure optimum machine performance
- 3Train customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety
- 4Document service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions in the ticketing system
- 5Travel regionally with regular overnight stays to support customer sites
Requirements8
- 12-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military technical experience
- 2Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment; PLC proficiency a plus
- 3Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics
- 4Skilled in diagnostic tools (gauges, test indicators, force meters)
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- 6Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- 7Capability to work independently
- 8Willingness to travel with regional schedule
