Field Service Technician, CNC & Industrial Equipment Maintenance
Overview
Field Service Technician will own on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment at customer facilities across the US and Canada. You will support gear cutting, milling, boring, grinding, and CNC-controlled machinery at scale, delivering high uptime and customer satisfaction. You will join a hands-on team focused on safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement. This role offers opportunities to work independently while collaborating with engineering and technical support.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and install industrial equipment including alignment, setup, and start-up testing to ensure production readiness within 90 days.
- 2Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and PLC issues to restore uptime promptly.
- 3Perform preventive maintenance and recommend corrective actions to reduce future downtime.
- 4Execute CNC retrofits and system modifications as required to meet evolving production needs.
- 5Document service activities and repair records accurately and comprehensively.
- 6Provide operator training and technical support to customer personnel to enable autonomous operation.
- 7Communicate effectively with customers to identify concerns and deliver actionable solutions.
- 8Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex equipment issues.
- 9Maintain compliance with safety procedures and industry regulations and stay informed on emerging technologies.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or industry certification preferred.
- 2Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or related role servicing industrial machinery.
- 3Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing industrial equipment.
- 4Working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and CNC controls.
- 5Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- 6Proficiency in troubleshooting and using diagnostic equipment and software.
- 7Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- 8Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
- 9Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel up to 75 is required.
- 10Willingness to travel overnight and work at customer sites across the US and Canada.
