Overview

Field Service Engineer specializing in CNC machinery will own on-site and remote maintenance across a multi-state territory. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install CNC machine tools with a focus on customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with internal teams and service engineers to deliver proactive service and create durable relationships with customers. This role offers heavy field work, travel, and opportunities to grow technical skills.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build preventive maintenance programs and perform troubleshooting and repair on CNC machine tools at customer sites and via phone support
  • 2Design and update technical documentation and service records for each job
  • 3Lead creation and analysis of service reports including ad hoc and recurring reports
  • 4Collaborate with internal teams and other customer service engineers to resolve issues
  • 5Provide training and technical guidance to junior service engineers on new product lines
  • 6Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and high service standards
  • 7Address challenging customer situations with a solutions oriented mindset
  • 8Follow safety standards and company policies in all field activities
  • 9Travel across a multi state region to customer sites and perform duties as assigned

Requirements9

  • 1Associate or Bachelor`s degree in a technical field
  • 23+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining CNC machine tools
  • 3Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • 4Ability to read mechanical drawings electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic diagrams
  • 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation
  • 6Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and changing conditions
  • 7Basic computer proficiency including MS Word Excel and Outlook
  • 8Willingness to travel up to 80 percent across a multi state region by car or air
  • 9Valid driver`s license
