Field Service Technician CNC & Industrial Machinery
Overview
CNC and industrial machinery service expert will own on site diagnostics, installation, and customer training at scale with regional travel. You will work independently from a home base while supporting advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. You’ll be the go to technical resource for customers and drive machine uptime. This role blends hands on troubleshooting with hands on education and precise documentation.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery to restore uptime
- 2Install and test post installation systems to verify optimal performance
- 3Train on site operators in machine function, maintenance, and safety to reduce future service calls
- 4Document service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions in the CRM and knowledge base
- 5Travel regionally with regular overnight stays to support customer sites and project milestones
Requirements5
- 12 year technical degree in mechanical electrical or machine tool technology or equivalent military technical experience
- 2Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment with PLC experience as a plus
- 3Ability to read engineering drawings schematics and use diagnostic tools
- 4Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- 5Strong problem solving interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently
