What You'll Do9

  • 1Lead the pharmacy department to deliver safe, effective patient care and optimize department performance.
  • 2Direct scheduling, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives to meet quality metrics.
  • 3Provide direct clinical pharmacy services and maintain competence across antimicrobial stewardship, sterile and non-sterile preparation, and medication safety.
  • 4Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
  • 5Collaborate with the Controller to develop and manage budgets for staffing, drugs, and supplies.
  • 6Lead hospital committees such as Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, and Safety.
  • 7Stay current with new medications, indications, and evidence-based practices.
  • 8Champion medication safety initiatives and continuous process improvements.
  • 9Represent the department in meetings with leadership and stakeholders to align goals and outcomes.

Requirements5

  • 1Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board
  • 2Degree from an accredited pharmacy program or substantially equivalent foreign educational credential
  • 3Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 4Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • 5Commitment to regulatory compliance and patient-centered care
